Get to Know Kristian
Kristian Magar is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, social and fiscal conservative candidate for U.S. Congress in Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District. He is not a career politician and he is not an attorney.
Kristian Magar has a proven track record of managing a successful business. He is a District Manager for an international oil and gas company. His career in the oil and gas industry has enabled him to travel internationally where he saw firsthand the lack of economic development due to socialism. He also lived overseas with his family in Trinidad and Tobago, where residents experienced a rationing of health care and long wait times due to government control. Kristian has witnessed and experienced things most politicians only see and hear about on television.
Kristian Magar believes strongly in the freedom provided through an education. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology, as well as a Masters of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management; both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He recently earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston.
Kristian Magar was born and raised in New Iberia, LA. He began working at the age of 14 at Dartez’s Grocery Store, owned by his Grandfather Paul Dartez. After graduating from New Iberia Senior High School, he joined the Louisiana Army National Guard, where he became an officer and obtained an education in Army values, discipline, and leadership.
Kristian Magar is a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and attends St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Loreauville, Louisiana, with his wife Kyla and their 4 children Katie, Kaille, Kincade, and Kian. He is a 9-12 candidate, and he has signed the 10th Amendment Center pledge.
Kristian Magar’s campaign is a grass roots initiative, supported by freedom-loving, liberty-minded individuals. The campaign’s simple message of liberty, self-responsibility, fiscal conservatism, adherence to the Constitution and faith in God has been well received throughout the district. The campaign’s base of support has come from people from all walks of life, many of whom identify with, and participate in the Tea Party Movement. Kristian’s message resonates with these individuals because like them, he is willing to sacrifice what is necessary in order to secure freedom for future generations. Kristian is running in the Republican primary, but he is an independent thinker who wants voters to evaluate his candidacy based on his positions on the issues as well as his principles and values.
